Part 1: Car Engine Coolant
In this part, students will use temperature data from oil and water to draw a graph. They will determine which liquid has a higher or lower specific heat capacity. Based on the results, they will suggest which of the two liquids may be suitable as an engine coolant.
I have included a BONUS version where students can do the lab and collect the temperature data by themselves.
Part 2: SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY APPLICATION
In this part, students will match substances to their applications related to their specific heat capacities.
Part 3: SPECIFIC HEAT CAPACITY QUESTIONS
In this part, students will complete four calculation questions involving specific heat capacity.
I have included the answer key to all worksheets. See preview.
***The worksheets can be used as stand-alone or with your existing resource.***
