Introduce your students to simple machines with a cool station activity + creativity activity that will surely keep them engaged. This product consists of two activities.
In Activity 1 (move and learn): Students move around to observe some common compound machines and identify the simple machines that are found in them. I have included a list of items to use but they can easily be substituted with others in case you don't have.
In activity 2 ( sit and design) : students are given a real world problem to solve using a combination of simple machines. This offers students the opportunity to be creative and apply what they are learning in a meaningful way.
