Part 1: The Reading Passage:
Students will read and learn about what makes an organism a living thing. They will also learn why viruses are hard to group under living or non-living category even for experienced biologists.
 
Part 2: The worksheet:
Students will complete the post-reading worksheet after the reading activity.
 
Part 3: The 24 Task Cards:
These contain 24 multiple choice questions related to characteristics of life. These may be used as end of unit assessment or even for review.
