Part 1: IONIC BONDING NAME TAG
In this part, each student will receive an element card. The element can be either belonging to a metal or nonmetal group. Students will then mingle to find elements in the opposite group and form an ionic bond with. They will record the resulting compound and the name on the accompanying worksheet.
 
Part 2: COVALENT BOND WORKSHEET
In this part, students will explore the two types of covalent bonds: polar and non-polar by completing a worksheet.
 
Part 3: IONIC, COVALENT & METALLIC BONDING WORKSHEET
In this part, students will learn about the differences between the three types of chemical bonds.
