Part 1: Heat Conductors Vs Heat Insulators
In this part, students will compare heat conductors and insulators. In the last section of the worksheet, they will cut and paste different materials as examples of either heat conductors or heat insulators.
 
Part 2: Building the Ultimate Heat Keeper
In this part, students are instructed to design, build, and test a prototype of a flask that can keep water warm over time. The teacher will provide different materials such as aluminum foil, bubble wrap, newspaper, etc. Student groups will decide which material they will use to build their thermoflask based on their understanding of the properties of heat conductors and heat insulators.
