- 1-page background information page about why populations evolve
- discusses HW Equilibrium and principles
- 1 page Koi fish activity sheet
- Sample answer keys

THE ACTIVITY:
The activity is created around a hypothetical koi fish population. Students will observe images of the population in 6 years to conclude whether or not they have evolved. This activity provides a chance for students to apply the concept meaningfully.
They will gather pieces of evidence, make convincing arguments, and hypothesize which Hardy Weinberg principle is being violated as new Koi fish populations emerge.
The story makes it more interesting and will elevate your students' curiosity. Students get to form their answers from their observations which makes it engaging.
