Part 1:Balancing Chemical Equations

In this part, students will balance 12 chemical equations. This exercise will give them the opportunity to practice how to balance chemical reactions. There is a varying degree of difficulty which will challenge students and help them master the skills of balancing chemical equations.

Part 2: Types of Chemical Reactions + Station Activity

In this part, students will complete an exercise to learn about the different types of chemical reactions. Afterward, they will explore chemical reactions in a 5-station activity.

*** Please see labsheet, procedures, material list, and futher details in the preview***

Part 3: The Law of Conservation of Mass Lab

In this part, students will do two experiments to illustrate the law of conservation of mass. They will do the experiments in an open system vs a closed system. AFterward, they will answer questions related to the activity to further enhance their understanding of the concept.

***Lab guide and tips are all included to assist the teacher and students to make the activity successful***

Part 4: The Law of Conservation of Mass Calculation

In this part, students will practice some calculation questions involving the law of conservation of mass.

I am confident that this resource will be a great addition to your teaching toolbox and help your students learn about how to balance chemical reactionstypes of chemical reactions and the law of conservation of mass in an engaging and fun way. This resource will provide them the chance to practice their data collection and observational skills + more. The list of materials is quite easy to find and the setup doesn't require much time which saves the teacher valuable time.

I have included the answer key to all worksheets. See preview.
