Part 1: Reading
 
In this part, students will read a passage about active and passive transport. They will learn the definitions and examples of both types of transport. Afterward, they will use the information in the passage to complete a post reading worksheet.
 
Part 2: The Cell Membrane
 
In this part, students will read, color, and label parts of the cell membrane. They will also answer some cell membrane-related questions.
 
Part 3: Would you rather
 
This is part, students will choose between pairs of questions they would rather answer. This activity is great for your early finishers. It provide students choices on the question they would rather answer.
 
Part 4: Osmosis Inquiry Lab
 
This is an optional lab where students will apply the scientific method to solve a mystery: "a flower that is wiltering while placed in water". I have included the story, lab procedures, and teacher tips in the resource.
 
 
The resource can be easily integrated into your existing teaching materials, used as a stand-alone, or even as a review at the end of the unit.
